Alicia Jenish-Mc Carron

Alicia is thrilled to be the Executive Chef for Artisan at Linkedin. Alicia has a long and storied culinary background in the Bay Area that all began when she moved to San Francisco after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and worked at Bizou under Loretta Keller.

There, she fell in love with French food and was inspired to go spend several months traveling through Italy, France, and Spain where she ate, cooked, and continued to fall in love with food. Upon her return to the Bay Area, she began her culinary trailblazing in earnest, including:

  • Butcher, Marsha McBride’s Café Rouge in Berkeley, where she mastered her talents in charcuterie
  • Chef de cuisine, Le Petit Robert Bistro in Russian Hill, where she worked closely with Chef Robert Cubberly
  • Out the Door Westfield, where she worked closely with the chef and restaurateur Charles Phan
  • Opening executive chef, Café in the Academy of Science Museum in Golden Gate Park
  • Revival Bar & Kitchen in Berkeley, a popular restaurant featuring head to tail cooking
  • Executive Chef, Grand Café, where she brought her modern French brasserie cuisine to Union Square
  • Corporate Executive Chef of The Cafe Claude group, where she oversaw five of their restaurants.

Then...after many years in the grind of the restaurant world, Jenish-McCarron decided to take the dive into the tech world! She was Executive Chef of Kitchit, a private chef startup for two years before jumping to Munchery, another startup, as their culinary director. There she oversaw their 35,000 square foot kitchen making 6000 entrees a day!
